About

I am curious about the intersection of faith, society, culture and just how we live our lives. I suspect faith is more relevant than we know. And I suspect God shows up in hip hop and history, soup kitchens and sociology.

I have a wife and three boys. I am loved. They keep me grounded—and from being too serious. They also make me proud.

I am a pastor of a small, imperfect, genuine church, Living Stones Christian Church. I also teach and have the privilege of serving the boards of a few non-profits.

I care about my neighborhood, especially my most vulnerable neighbors.

  1. Nice jars of clay reference. I’m a fan too. Curious, though, about who you are and where you’re from. Great writing, and I’m enjoying reading you.

      1. Awesome. 🙂 I’m a faith-based volunteer and summer volunteer coordinator based in Kyrgyzstan, originally from LA. Met Alex Schweng down there and he posted a link to your Ferguson post.
