Sometimes, he gives me just enough to go on

Baking clay ‘neath Egyptian sun
Sabbathless.  The ‘HOT’ light’s on
Schlepping, shuffling burdens like restless furniture
Mustering some words to say, to save the day
Another day’s work, another day’s done
Lo comes thine invisible breeze
Slips beneath heat to light
Now that I can rest upon

“Creation” by Marc Chagall
