Deathstyles of the Rich and Famous

For an incredibly hiliarious, interesting, and pitiable read on the hazards unique to the upper class, Slate has a great cultural piece on the sorry plight of the super rich…showing once again just how much we hate the rich but secretly wish we could all be like them.

Now from the upper class to the uber class, Bill Gates is stepping down from his day-to-day duties at Microsoft in order to spend more time giving away massive amounts of money through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  Hopefully he doesn’t die in the process.

  1. that article on rich people’s deaths is frickin hillarious. and as much as i loathe microsoft, i do have true admiration for bill gates in finding solutions that -actually work-.

  2. i believe bill and melinda together give away more each year than any other persons/foundation. someone can correct me if i’m wrong. but in any case, it seems like he really does care about making sure that money does something worthwhile, not just the tax write-off.he is quoted as saying: “I believe with great wealth comes great responsibility, the responsibility to give back to soicety and make sure those resources are given back in the best possible way, to those in need.”i am not a gates fan either, but this leader of technology is apparently a leader in generosity as well.
