How nice. Alameda now allows jurors to “defer, excuse themselves (limited conditions) and disqualify themselves (also limited conditions).”
I just got this very nice email from the court after requesting to be excused:

I can also access my history as a juror. They have a log of your comments in court, the judge’s reflections on you as a juror, and pictures of the bailiff and clerk gettin’ it on in the back. Of course, I am kidding. But they do have a record of me:
